MGD is a common condition that occurs when meibomian glands in your eyelids don’t produce enough oil (meibum) to lubricate your eyes. This can result in chronically dry, irritated eyes.
The Systane® iLux²® is a handheld device that allows your practitioner to visualize your meibomian glands and provide localized heat and targeted compression therapy to warm and express your blocked glands. This will help to increase oil production and improve your tear film, ultimately reliving chronic dry eye symptoms.
