Senior (65+) Eye Exam

Eye Exams are covered for adults over the age of 65 with a valid Ontario Health Card (OHIP card). The Government of Ontario has recently changed the frequency at which eye exams are covered by OHIP: older adults without the below conditions will be covered every 18 Months.

Patients who have diabetes, glaucoma, and other vision threatening/progressive diseases are still covered annually. Please be aware that changes will not take effect until September 1st, 2023.

The Canadian Association of Optometrists recommends having an eye exam as per this schedule. During your eye exam, Dr. Chang will diagnose, treat and help prevent diseases and disorders affecting the visual system.
