Senior (65+) Eye Exam

Eye Exams are covered for adults over the age of 65 with a valid Ontario Health Card (OHIP card). As of September 1st, 2023, the Government of Ontario has changed the frequency at which eye exams are covered by OHIP: seniors without a vision threatening condition will be covered every 18 months.

Patients who have diabetes, glaucoma, and other vision threatening/progressive conditions are still covered every 12 months.

The Canadian Association of Optometrists recommends having an eye exam as per this schedule. During your eye exam, Dr. Chang will diagnose, treat, and help prevent diseases and disorders affecting the visual system.
